Kailash Inner Kora Trek

Mount Kailash, center of the universe has been a holy site to the adherents of Buddhist, Hindu, Jain and Bon religion for centuries. Kailash Inner Kora Trek is one of the most revered and challenging Kora (Parikarma) for all devotees. Geographically positioned in the middle of six mountain ranges representing the Lotus, Mt. Kailash is said to be the eternal adobe of Lord Shiva. It is also a place where the first Jain Tirthankara, Rishabhadeva attained deliverance from rebirth and the place of all spiritual power in the Bon religion.

  • Kailash Inner Kora Trek

The act of Kora or circumambulation of Mount Kailash is believed to erase away all sins of the devotees who have endured this long and challenging pilgrimage for thousands of years. The trek is considered as one of the hardest trek due to the rugged terrain and the rapid rise in altitude.

The snow capped Mount Kailash, the deep blue water of Lake Manasarovar and Lake Rakshyastaal, the monasteries along the lake which look as if carved right out of the cliffs has a mysterious and mystical charisma that has made generations of humanity come and pay respect to the mountains that has continued them spiritually and physically. The trip is one of the most spiritual tours operated by Alpine Eco Trek and we would highly recommend this spiritual walk to all devotees and travelers of the world.

The Kailash Inner Kora from a very close distance is certainly one of the toughest pilgrimages of all. This involves 34 km journey on foot around the Holy Mountain at 19,000 feet above sea-level.  The route of Inner Kora is entirely made up of rock, crevices, snow and ice. It is also said that one can do the Mount Kailash inner Kora only after completing 13 outer Koras (53km parikarma of holy mount Kailash).
