“Tibet and Mt.Kailash - another world”
We did a 15 day trip to Tibet with Alpine Eco trek from Kathmandu going through Lhasa, Everest Base Camp and the Mt Kaialsh Kora. It was an amazing experience and very ably handled by our guides who had to think on their feet when a snowstorm hit and the Chinese authorities diverted us.
Tibet itself is another world but becoming much easier to travel through thanks to the new roads the Chinese are bringing in and I couldn't recommend enough making the effort to get out west to Mt Kailash. Once back in Nepal Alpine Eco Trek also handled buying our bus tickets and finding our porter so that we could do the Annapurna circuit for no extra charge than what the expenses were.

If you want great, friendly yet professional service then go see Ram and his team in Kathmandu, they'll make your trip to the Himalayas even more special!

 “Alpine Eco Trek, an exceptional travel agency at Thamel !”
We are french people ! My husband and I went to Nepal/Tibet four years ago. We asked Ram Kumar & his team to organise our 3 weeks trip : the famous Mt Kailash tour and the trek until the Everest advanced base camp ! First, during several months before the validation of the trip, we were impressed by the relationship by e-mail, the very clear answers to all of our questions, their way to find the best compromise and the sense of details... Then, arriving at Kathmandu, a warm welcome and a very good organisation lead by Ram, the incredible manager of the agency. We've had already in the past the experience with 3 other travel agencies at Kathmandu but this time, no comparaison, the service was there : a nice and quiet hotel in the heart of Tamel, our visa in time, always someone to look for us, no bad surprises during our trip. Mt Kailash tour, Manasarova lake & Everest aera are great places to visit ; furthermore we were lucky with the weather, sun every day but cold !

“Just Magic”
it has always been my dream to see Tibet and last year in october 2014 i finally got a chance to go there. shortly before journey our main destination, mt. Kailash, was politically closed for tourists, so Ram and his travel agency managed to change some points of the travel program. and even without Kailash i regret nothing. all what i have seen in Tibet was unbelievable: the nature, the monasteries, the animals, and of course the warmhearted people. not to forget the energy of this country... it changes your life.
after almost two weeks in Tibet we spent few days in Kathmandu and met Ram Kumar from Alpine Eco Trek. Ram is a very friendly guy and a very professional travel specialist who managed excellent our whole journey.
What can i say.. Thank you, Ram. Someday i will see you and Tibet again.

The best one in Thamel for a trip to Tibet!
We were four of us and took 08 days Tibet overland with EBC tour with Alpine Eco trek agency. Initially we were very much confused to choose the agency and we visited many travel agencies in Thamel but no one could give us the right information with competitive price. Finally we found Alpine Eco Trek agency is the best because they are very informative, knowledgeable and well known about Tibet. We had very good trip. They have very good guides and drivers with them. Our guide was so co-operative and his service was excellent and driver was very nice, very safe driver and a funny man.
We hope we can come to Tibet again.
So we like to recommends this agency to our friends.

Mt Kailash overland tour October 2011”
“I booked a tour from Australia over the internet with Alpine Eco Trek early last year 2010 to go to Mount. Kailash.
All organized tours with Australian companies were out of my budget. Therefore my only option was to book on line. At first I was not sure if Alpine eco trek was a genuine company but with many email correspondence with Ram Kumar I was satisfied that the company was genuine. I was only asked for a small deposit and full payment on arrival which made me feel comfortable. My trip was meant to be with a larger group, however on arrival to Nepal I was advised that there were not many people booked for the tour and that Alpine eco trek would still provide a tour and that I would be going with only two other people. This felt like a private tour with no extra charge.

Our Tibetan tour guide and driver were wonderful and I would have no hesitation in recommending him His name was Pintso. He looked after all of our needs 24/7 truly magnificent.
My only criticism was that there was no CO2 or other safety items advertised in our tour program provided and this made me feel very uncomfortable. When I asked our tour leader if he had any CO2 he did not and was not provided this by the Kathmandu drivers on transfer over the border. When I asked about the CO2 which was while we were on the trek, Pintso our tour leader went back to the last town Darchen which was 8km back and ensured that he obtained the CO2 just in case we needed it for the assent over the Drolma la Pass. I was unwell at the time and I was unsure if I would be able to make it over the assent Pintso stayed with me and held my hand over this section of the trek. I was very impressed with his compassion and services.

There seemed to be some confusion on who would be providing the equipment such as CO2 etc...

On our return to Kathmandu I mentioned this to Ram Kumar and I am hoping that this has now been fixed and that the tour to Kailash now has the equipment advertised in their tours.

Overall I would be happy to recommend Ram Kumar and his team for any tour and I will be using their services again on my next trip.”
